Success = Resilience + Perseverance

One of my Full Support clients landed her dream job this week! When she wrote me an astounding summary of her job search, I asked if I could share it with you.

Just for fun, I wanted to share my stats with you: I started applying on September 22nd, had my first interview on October 10th, and my first offer on November 14th; one month later, I've accepted an offer!

I had a total of 17 interviews. I took interviews with every school that contacted me except for 2 schools in countries that were too close to conflict zones. I had a truly terrible interview experience with one particular school that ended up being a blessing, because it prepped me well for the questions that I received for the job I ended up accepting. 

Total applications: 30

Schools that contacted me in some way: 13

One-way interviews: 2

1st round interviews: 8

2nd round interviews: 6

3rd round interviews: 1

Rejections after interviews: 3

Offers: 4

Every school that interviewed me replied within 1-5 days of my application.

Every school that offered me a position contacted me the day after I applied.

I hope this information is useful to some of your other clients!

2) say yes to every interview, using it for practice and networking opportunities, and

3) weigh your options when considering an offer.
